With summer right around the corner and the "Summer in the School Garden Workshops" mapped out, we (Colleen and Ashley) set up a booth at the Farmer's Market to celebrate and spread the word. Strawberry starts, student art, flowers, various seed packets and produce were all for sale! Attending market is a great way for us to share with community members the recent happenings in the school garden. While Colleen helped children make sunflower and winter squash seed packets, I passed out flyers regarding our summer workshops. We reunited with old friends of the school garden and welcomed new friends of the garden to make seed packets and taste test edible flowers with us! If you see us at Market during the summer months, please stop by and say hello! We'd love to share some of our organically grown produce with you!
